There are many places of interest within “striking” distance. Here is some information that may be useful.

Meadowhall – a choice of over 270 stores under one roof, Meadowhall, on the outskirts of Sheffield, is one of the UK’s leading shopping and leisure destinations. There is a direct train from Chapeltown station.

Elsecar Heritage Centre – is an Antique, History and Craft Centre offering something for everyone.  It is open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm, although individual shops and businesses within Elsecar Heritage Centre have varying opening times. Contact No. 01226 740203

Sheffield City Centre – The Millennium Galleries, together with the Winter Garden and the Peace Gardens form the core of Sheffield’s Heart of the City Project.

Wentworth Village – is a well preserved village with beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a large garden centre, with craft workshops, quaint buildings and antique shops.
